Protect Yourself At ATMs

ATM SECURITY

  1. If possible, avoid using ATM in darkness. If you must attempt to have a person with you. Attempt to find an ATM in a well lit area.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the security devices in place.
  3. Thoroughly observe the area around you. Look for loitering nearby. Look
    for suspicious people and parked running vehicles.
  4. Be cautious of anyone who engages you in conversation as you approach the ATM.
  5. Don't count money at the ATM ( if money is short, not much you can do until next business day.)
  6. Make sure no one observes your PIN as you type it in.
  7. Do not leave your receipt at the ATM
  8. DO NOT reveal your PIN to anyone in person or over the phone for any
    reason, even if person states they represent the bank.
